HELD is coming to Columbus
Feb 17, 2026
Picture this:
A parent spends the morning at a lactation appointment, then squeezes in PT the next day. They’re trying, so hard, to follow the plans. But when they get home, the baby won’t settle unless they’re held. The exercises feel impossible. The feeding cues get messy. Their body hurts. Their nervous system is shot.
They’ve heard babywearing could help.
But no one has shown them how it connects to the work they’re already doing...or how to make it actually work in their body, with their baby, in their day.

Families don’t experience “PT problems” or “lactation problems.” They don't live in silios. They experience one tangled story: this isn’t working, and we’re overwhelmed. HELD was built to meet that reality: a hands-on, interdisciplinary lab where babywearing educators and allied clinicians learn shoulder-to-shoulder, work real cases, and leave with scope-safe plans families can actually use.
At HELD, we translate adult + baby + body + context into practical holistic support. Together, through case studies, we’ll explore complex situations such as torticollis with latch challenges, and how baby carriers and, when needed, a babywearing consultant, can be a part of the family solution your clients need.
We'll decode caregiver back pain, consider sensory and regulation needs, and practice shared language and techniques that travel from clinic to home visit- all explored through the lens of extended carrying practices.
