We bring our babywearing training to businesses and organizations

CBWS has brought customized babywearing training to a wide variety of organizations. We have worked with groups such as:

  • hospitals
  • nonprofit groups
  • retail stores
  • baby carrier manufacturers
  • childcare providers

How we customize our training

We learned early on that different groups can have vastly different needs when it comes to our classes.

Manufacturers and retailers

Companies that manufacture baby carriers have sought our expertise in crafting or improving their products. We offer private consulting, but we have also worked closely with design and marketing teams to get everyone on the same page.

We can work with your sales force to help them understand the benefits carriers offer to families, become more comfortable with the products, and improve sales overall.

Retail stores benefit not only from understanding the practice of baby carrying, but how to bring classes and deep knowledge to their customers.

Joanna previously owned a highly successful carrier retail store on Park Avenue in Manhattan, and her insight into the market is unparalleled. Her trainings touch on many aspects of running and succeeding in the carrier marketplace.

Kangaroo care, public health, and medical groups

Joanna is has worked with premiere medical experts to further understanding of infant touch and physiology. For hospitals wanting to bring kangaroo care and carrying to their maternity, neonatal, and pediatric units (or even emergency departments) to pediatricians, occupational therapists, midwives, and doulas, we have crafted courses that improve public health outcomes.

Tell us your specific needs and we will support you.

Non-profit groups

It's impossible to summarize the work we have done with nonprofit groups.

However, the public health benefit of carrying -- both to parents and to their children -- cannot be overstated.

We can help your organization integrate touch and carrying practices into the work you do with families, or we can support you in helping your volunteers or staff become more confident helping families use or troubleshoot their carriers.

In-person and remote trainings available

Our remote training options have drastically increased as we've moved into and through the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to offer rich, highly effective online education to both individuals and to groups.

We have suspended in-person trainings until the pandemic subsides to levels that allow confident planning and fewer health threats related to travel.

Depending on your needs and location, we may be able to begin planning an in-person event, or we can plan a hybrid event using a variety of solutions.

Bring us your ideas, your questions, and your challenges!
