It’s grounded in evidence-based research, real-life experience, and practical teaching tools—and now you can take this course in a way that gives you more flexibility while offering an in-person lab to connect, practice, and get feedback.

What to Expect

  • Zoom Kick-Off: March 27th, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. EST. A casual live session to meet your instructors, explore the training portal, and ask questions. (Yep, it's recorded.)
  • Self-Paced Video Curriculum: You'll get full access to our Foundations training modules—watch and learn when it works for you.
  • Private IG group: connect with your peers and course mentor to begin engaging with each other and the material from the start.
  • In-Person Session: April 17-19th, 2026.
    We’ll meet in Baltimore at Nourish & Align for 2.5 days of wrap practice, demos, connection, and support.

This hybrid format offers the best of both worlds: flexible online learning and real-time in-person sessions to build your confidence and skills.

What is the Hybrid Foundations training, exactly +
 

It’s the CBWS Foundations in Babywearing Education Training  curriculum in a flexible format: online learning for the theory and framework, plus an in-person lab for hands-on practice. You get the knowledge and the real-world reps.

Who is this for +
 

Doulas, lactation consultants, birth workers, community educators, healthcare professionals, and anyone supporting families with babywearing. Also: the “I’m always the babywearing friend and now I want real training” crowd.

How does the hybrid format work +
 

Step 1: Live kickoff Zoom to get oriented and meet the group. 

Step 2: Online lessons you complete on your schedule. Very important to have them all watched before we meet in person 

Step 3: In-person lab for hands-on practice, troubleshooting, and instructor feedback.

Do I need to be “good at babywearing” already +
 

Nope. This is the training. You’ll learn skills, observation, teaching strategies, and how to support caregivers with real-world troubleshooting. Curiosity and willingness to practice beats “already perfect” every time.

Where is the in-person portion held +
 

The in-person lab is held in Baltimore, Maryland, April 17-19th, 2026. 

How long is the training +
 

The online lessons are self-paced within the cohort timeline, and the in-person lab is a 2.5 multi-day intensive. You get time to absorb the material and then you get time to actually practice it.

What is included with registration +
 

Online curriculum access, the live kickoff session, the in-person lab experience, instructor feedback, and the training community with resources and ongoing Community Hours. 

Do I earn a certificate +
 

Yes. Once you complete the training requirements and pass the assessment, you receive your CBWS Foundations certificate.

Can I do a payment plan +
 

Yes payment plan option are listed in the checkout, then yes. If you do not see it, it usually means that the times has passed to sign up for payment plan. Please note: if you are on payment plan you will certificate after the training is paid in full. 

What if I have questions before registering +
