CBWS Equity Program to Babywearing Education

In honor of the 5th annual Black Maternal Mental Health, I am pleased to introduce equity access to professional babywearing education.

The ongoing state of Black Maternal Health in the US is a catastrophic public health issue impacting black families across our nation. I recognize that babywearing and infant carrying can play an important role in improving black maternal health. More must be done to share the importance of babywearing in the postpartum for black families. Babywearing is a historic and active practice used worldwide, and historically black families have been denied the right to carry their children in place of caring for other’s babies. I hope to see this equity option will help more families during their postpartum period.

Though I donate most of my income and time to charity work, I want to be clear that this is not charity. This is about equity. I am happily offering a sliding scale for my Newborn Babywearing Program with hopes of encouraging more educators from traditionally marginalized communities to enroll and share babywearing with the families they serve. 

Please only use the sliding scale option if you self-identify as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color, and then select the level you need. Please choose to pay as much as possible, rather than the least. I am a solo-owned company, and all income comes directly from the sale of my courses - your payments allow me to continue to spread the word about babywearing education and to support additional initiatives. I consistently choose to work with and support working single mothers and donate my time to other initiatives, and I do not consistently draw a salary from this business. I trust you, and thank you for supporting babywearing.

If you choose a payment plan it will take off the amount on your first payment
